As a desperate housewife, Eva Longoria played a shallow, glamorous, money-obsessed suburbanite. In her off-screen life, she has shown herself to be one of the most selfless, charitable celebs in Hollywood. Longoria shined a light on the often miserable lives of migrant workers in 2011 when she helped produce La Cosecha, a documentary focused on children migrant farm workers. The movie and work surrounding it helped support passage of the Children’s Act of Responsible Employment (CARE). She has also been involved in “Parents Against Cancer/ Padres Contra El Cancer”, dedicated to improving the quality of life for kids and their families living with childhood cancers.
