Successful Latinos in Silicon Valley

Wences Casares

Casares, 41, is a technology investor from Argentina who was responsible for starting Argentina’s first ISP, Internet Argentina S.A. He eventually made his way to Silicon Valley and founded Lemon Wallet, a company that allowed users to buy an app that turns items, such as credit cards and ID, into digital versions that they could store online. Casares sold Lemon Wallet to LifeLock for $43 million in 2013, and has since gotten into the Bitcoin game, with his new company, Xapo.
