In 2010, 65 percent of Latino adults were actively searching for a job or were employed, which was somewhat higher than the amount for the entire U.S. population. However, Latinos continue to face towering unemployment rates compared to other ethnic groups. The Latino population is employed in a wide assortment of professions, though they are disproportionately employed in service and support occupations.
